EDUCATION WORK
-
We run workshops with schools, universities and community groups on documentary and verbatim theatre.
Our workshops include:
Introduction to Documentary & Verbatim Theatre
A one or two hour practical workshop exploring basic principles of creating and staging documentary theatre
BYOD - Bring Your Own Documents workshop
Using letters and documents of your own, or text from online, we examine the subtexts and true intentions of your documents using creative methods.
-
Our plays are available to be performed as a staged reading. These are performances which are stripped back with the actors reading from scripts.
This means rehearsal times are shorter but we can still deliver an exciting live pop-up performance for your conference or festival, or other similar event.
-
As our work is supported by academic research, we are often asked to deliver talks at conferences and festivals, and on university courses.
In the past, we have given talks at London Southbank University andf the University of Manchester.
-
We can design and deliver bespoke projects for your students, for example, week-long intensives on documentary theatre, or training sessions on interviewing techniques at the start of researching a documentary piece.
Get in contact with us and we can design something that fits your timescale and budget.
